Spotlight Artist: Mikael B.

Influenced by his early years as a graffiti artist and working within the urban contemporary genre, Mikael B has developed a signature artistic identity and characteristic expression. By combining the graphic footprint of wildstyle graffiti, a complex and intricate genre in which forms, words, and letters are woven together, with bold colors and graphic shapes, he creates a dynamic universe that are akin to musical visualization.

The artist’s sense of colors and their effects play a significant role in each piece, bursting with complimentary colors to further fuel a near overwhelming visual appreciation of his work.

Los Angeles–based artist, Big sleeps has dedicated his life to the artistry of lettering – mastering a specialized technique on the west coast.  Surrounded by graffiti on the walls and buildings in Pico-Union has instilled a brilliant rising in the appreciation of urban art.  Influencing beauty and empowering youth and residents with powerful messages of strength and acceptance in the mainstream fine and commercial art world.

Spotlight Artist:
Big Sleeps

“The writing’s on the wall,” is a cliché that simply refers to an inevitable conclusion, or an obvious ending. For those who live on the edge in the aerosol-covered inner city areas of urban sprawl, life often reflects a much more tragic inevitability; leaving behind a trail of lost souls immortalized through candlelit curbside memorials and tribute t-shirts. One wayward child of the ghetto destined to follow this unfortunate path was Los Angeles artist Big Sleeps.

Spotlight Artist:
Dodo Ose

Dodo Ose is a French street artist based in Montreal (Canada).  Doryan Ose, aka Dodo Ose was born in 1985 in France in the city of Lyon.  His most recent work and murals can be seen at this years 2017 Mural Festival in Montreal Canada.  His murals are an explosive sequence of images that jump out at you when you stand and observe.  A feeling of motion and surreal three dimensional objects.

Introduced to art at a young age he completed his bachelor’s degree in Fine Art in Cannes.  Absorbing his urban style from youth and transforming it into a traditional fine art setting.  After refining his technique he began to show in galleries through out Cannes giving him more exposure.  Soon after he moved to Montreal Canada to expand his knowledge and develop with the production company A’Shop, where he continues to grow and paint outside of the box.

Join us as we explore temperature controlled walls and the technology behind today’s graffiti and muralists.
